Anyone else following the case of Yazmin Garcia Rodas? The situation around her disappearance really has me thinking about the larger issue in Brooks County and how little attention it gets outside our circle of discussions. I did some digging and saw that the county has been struggling with missing persons for years now, mainly due to its location near the border. It makes me wonder, given the number of missing individuals and the difficult terrain, why there aren't more resources or attention from higher authorities? Yazmin's case, like so many others, seems to just slip through the cracks. I wonder if there are any new volunteer efforts or local searches coming up that anyone has heard about? More visibility and resources might really push these investigations forward. What do you all think?
Has anyone else been following the case of Yazmin Garcia Rodas from Falfurrias? I was thinking about how the environmental conditions could make search efforts really difficult down there. It's not just about the locals or the authorities being diligent, but those vast stretches of tough terrain. I've read about how people can get lost for days without resources. If Yazmin was navigating through any of these areas, it must have been incredibly challenging to track or find any leads. Does anyone have insight on what kind of technology or resources are being brought in to help in such vast and inhospitable areas? I'm wondering if there are any specific efforts being made to use drones or other tech to cover more ground.
