I keep thinking about Guthrie Park and the kids who play there every day. It's unsettling to think that such a vibrant, everyday scene was disrupted by this horrific event. This park is supposed to be a safe haven for the community, where families gather and kids laugh, and now it’s marred by violence. My heart goes out to Justin's family and friends who are coping with this unimaginable loss. It's also really distressing to think about the other kids who were around when it happened and witnessed everything. They shouldn't have to shoulder such memories. I truly hope that anyone with information feels compelled to come forward. We all need justice for Justin, but also healing for the community.

I can't stop thinking about how impactful Justin's loss has been on his classmates and friends at Waco High School. I read somewhere that crisis counselors were made available, and it really emphasizes how deeply the community is affected. It’s so painful to think about those young students, carrying the weight of losing a friend while still trying to navigate being teens themselves. They must be so confused and overwhelmed. I hope those who knew Justin find some comfort in leaning on each other and the support being offered. It's evident the community is rallying together, but I hope more light can be shed on the root causes of this violence. It’s got to be so difficult for everyone involved. If you’re from the area and have insights on how the community is handling it, I’d appreciate hearing more. It’s important we support one another in any way we can.
