Did anyone else attend the community meeting last week about youth violence in Waco? I was there and it was quite moving to see so many people coming together in memory of Tercquan Johnson. His tragic death has really shaken everyone up, and it hits differently knowing this happened to such a young soul with so much ahead of him. I think it’s high time we talk about what we can do proactively. The local group, Waco Outreach, talked about starting mentorship programs to guide the youth and create a positive influence — which I think is a fantastic idea. Does anyone know how we might get involved or support these initiatives? Change has to start somewhere, and as a community, we owe it to Tercquan and all our children to do better.
Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Tercquan Johnson, and something has really been on my mind. I've been thinking a lot about the effects of this tragedy on his family and friends. It's just unimaginable what they must be going through right now.
I can only imagine how close-knit the Waco community is, and losing someone at such a young age must be incredibly devastating. My heart genuinely goes out to everyone who knew Tercquan. I can't help but wonder what kind of support systems are in place for the families affected by violence like this. Are there any local organizations stepping up to provide counseling or support to help them process their grief?
And then there's the impact on Ruben Villa Lee Dominguez's family. I know they must be grappling with a whirlwind of emotions too. This kind of event ripples through so many lives, and it's just so sad to see.
If anyone has updates or knows more about support systems in place or how the community is coming together in the aftermath, please share. It's important for us to stay informed and find ways to support each other.
