I’ve been reading about the case of Laura West and Mary Heinz, and I can’t stop thinking about the fire at their home on Peach Street. It's chilling to realize how the perpetrator, Rosendo Montoya, tried to cover his tracks by setting the fire. I can't imagine the first responders arriving to fight the blaze, only to discover such horror inside. It's deeply disturbing to know that someone could take such calculated steps to destroy evidence and disguise such an appalling crime. It's a small relief that the fire was contained before it could erase any trace of what happened there. My heart goes out to the families and loved ones of Laura and Mary, dealing with layers of grief amidst such a senseless tragedy.
