Has anyone else been following the updates on the Valero gas station shooting in East Austin? I was reading about Tijarious White's case, and it just makes me wonder how a simple visit to a gas station could end so tragically for such a young person. It's scary thinking about how life can change in an instant.
I’ve been really moved by the responses on his memorial page. It's touching to see people come together to remember him and support his loved ones during such a tough time. It seems that Tijarious was well-loved and had a bright future. I sincerely hope the community can help bring his family some closure by helping identify that suspect. If anyone’s seen anything or knows someone who might have info, I really hope they reach out. We're all part of this community, and staying safe is something we have to work on together. It’s so devastating to hear about the loss of Tijarious White. I can't imagine the pain his family must be going through right now. I wanted to touch on the surveillance footage that APD released. With such a clear image of the suspect, it’s baffling that there haven’t been any leads so far. Digital technology has come a long way, and it's often instrumental in cases like this. But sometimes, all it takes is one person to recognize something and make that call. If you’re in or around East Austin, I urge you to take a closer look at the images circulating. You never know when you might notice something crucial. Let’s hope someone comes forward soon so that his family can find some peace.
I've been following the case of Tijarious White, and I've been thinking a lot about the impact such a senseless act has on a community. I can't imagine the loss his loved ones are feeling right now. One aspect that caught my attention is the increasing violence in Austin that weekend. It’s alarming to hear about six deaths in such a short span. It raises so many questions about what could be prompting this surge in violence and what preventative measures could be taken moving forward. I hope the community can come together to support one another during these times and work on finding solutions to ensure everyone's safety. My thoughts are with Tijarious’s friends and family during this painful period.
