I’ve been following Paul Colucci's disappearance on forums and just wanted to bring up the weather conditions around that time. As someone who frequently hikes in Maine, I know how quickly the weather can change up in Baxter State Park, especially on those remote trails like Russell Pond. In early September, it isn't unusual for temperatures to drop, and if there's unexpected rain, those trails can get pretty slick and dangerous. I wonder if this played a role in why search teams haven’t found any trace of him yet. Has anyone heard if they factored this into their search strategies? It just seems odd with such an extensive operation and all those skilled searchers out there. Hoping there's some news soon—it must be agonizing for his family and friends.

Hey everyone, I’ve been following Paul Colucci’s case, and I keep thinking about the Russell Pond Trail. Has anyone else looked into how challenging this trail is? From what I've read, it’s not just the length; the terrain can be pretty tough, especially for someone hiking alone, like Paul was. It definitely adds a layer of complexity to this whole situation. I wonder if the search teams faced specific obstacles because of that. Could it have affected their ability to comb through the area thoroughly? Hope they find some new leads. Anyone with local hiking experience in Baxter State Park who can weigh in on just how challenging this trail might be during early September?
