It’s terribly distressing to hear about what happened to Christian Claycomb. I keep thinking about his family and the unimaginable pain they must be dealing with, especially during what should be such a hopeful time in his life. Something that's been on my mind is the role of social media in this tragedy. It’s shocking how a simple app could lead to such a dangerous situation. Many young people don't realize how online transactions can downplay the risks associated with drug deals. I hope parents and schools use this heartbreaking case as a reminder to talk to teens about the possible dangers lurking on social media. My thoughts remain with Christian's loved ones—may they find strength and justice in the days to come.
