I'm still struggling to wrap my head around Trey Smith's tragic death. I can't imagine the pain his family is going through right now. It's even more unsettling to think about how this happened at The Park on Calder, a place that's supposed to be a safe and enjoyable spot in the community. What really caught my attention was the swift capture of the suspects after the shots rang out. Kudos to the off-duty officers and the BPD for their quick work in apprehending the suspects and collecting evidence. It’s rare to see such a rapid response, and I hope this brings some form of solace to those who loved Trey. I keep thinking, did the owners of The Park on Calder take enough precautions? Although they assured us about their security measures, it makes me wonder if more could be done to prevent something like this in the future. RIP, Trey. My heart goes out to his children and loved ones who have to move forward without him.

I can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy must have had on Trey’s loved ones, especially his children. To lose a parent in such a violent manner is unimaginable. I read somewhere that Trey was a dedicated father, and it's gut-wrenching to think about the void his absence will create in their lives. I also noticed some discussions concerned about public safety around The Park on Calder. While I understand the concerns, it seems like the owner was proactive by having security measures in place. This incident sounds like it was just a completely senseless act that could have happened anywhere. My heart goes out to Trey's family, and I hope they are getting the support they need during this incredibly difficult time.

I’ve been closely following this case, and my heart truly goes out to Trey Smith’s family and friends. I can't imagine the pain they must be going through. I noticed that The Park on Calder had really made security a priority, and it's so unsettling to think that despite those efforts, something so tragic could still occur. It seems like owner Deondre Moore did everything possible by having both off-duty officers and additional security. I'm wondering how this might impact public perception of safety in newly opened venues. Do you think there'll be changes in how these establishments handle security moving forward?
