Does anyone else find the mental health resources for our soldiers in these situations sorely lacking? Reading about Spc. Andrew Fredrick Blakely’s death hit me hard. I've seen so many stories like his and it feels like we’re not doing enough to support these young men and women who are in such difficult roles. Especially with Operation Lone Star and all the pressures that come with border deployment. It just seems like there's this pattern of putting our service members in incredibly stressful situations without adequate support.
I think it's really important to amplify these stories and push for more comprehensive mental health resources for our troops. Blakely's story is a sobering reminder that we need to be actively discussing how to prevent these tragedies from happening again. My heart goes out to his family and friends who are undoubtedly enduring profound pain. We need to make sure these losses aren’t in vain by advocating for better support systems for those still serving. ?

I find it deeply concerning that there seems to be a recurring issue with mental health support for our service members. It's crucial that we address these needs more effectively. The military community and leaders are talking about boosting mental health resources, but how do we ensure these initiatives have a lasting impact? It seems like there needs to be a stronger focus on preventative measures and ongoing support.
