I've been thinking a lot about the ongoing issue of gun violence in Fort Worth, especially in light of Donnell Smith Jr.'s tragic death. It's just so unsettling to realize that this wasn't just a robbery gone wrong but another sign of how urgently we need change in our community. Like many of you, I feel for Donnell's family and friends, who have to cope with losing someone they love in such a terrible way. I'm really hoping that the arrest of Zarion Evans will help bring some answers and maybe even a bit of peace to those hurting. But it’s scary to think the other suspect is still out there. Does anyone else feel like there's more we could be doing locally to push for better safety measures and support for victims?
