I’ve been following the tragic news about Aubrey Hazley's murder, and I’m really struck by the fact that he was just doing something as ordinary as walking through his neighborhood. It’s terrifying to think that someone’s life can be taken in such a violent manner when they are just going about their daily routine. I keep thinking about his family and the immense loss they must be feeling right now. It’s such a senseless act. What’s also troubling is how there seems to be so little information about the shooter. I hope more witnesses come forward because someone out there must have seen or heard something that can help bring justice for Aubrey and his family. It’s really unsettling that a shooter could still be roaming around, and more awareness could maybe help prevent another tragedy. Thoughts are with his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
