And then there’s the bravery of the deputy constable who faced such danger trying to apprehend the suspect. It’s a reminder of the risks they take every day. The community is really going to feel the absence of someone like Ms. Houston, who was so dedicated to her students. Has the district mentioned any memorials or tributes in her honor? I hope measures are being put in place to honor her memory and support those who are grieving her loss.
