I’ve been following this case closely and something that's been bothering me is why Valerie Navejas decided to collect the shell casings and place them on the dresser. This obviously looks like an attempt to manipulate the crime scene, but I'm curious about her thought process at that moment. Was this a panic reaction, wanting to control some aspect of the chaos, or was she thinking more about how it would look before authorities arrived? It’s just heartbreaking to think about the fear and confusion she must have been feeling in that moment—understanding someone just died in a violent encounter. My heart goes out to Todd Olivas's family; the loss they are enduring is unimaginable. This raises even more questions about what truly happened that night, and I hope the investigation will shed light and bring justice where it’s due.
