Just spent some time re-reading about the incident on June 18 in San Antonio, and I can't help but feel for Roy "RoRo" Alderete's family. It’s awful how he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. One moment you're sitting on steps with someone, likely chatting or enjoying the evening, and the next, your whole world—and the world of those who love you—changes forever. It’s so senseless.
I haven’t seen much coverage focusing on the impact this has on the families of bystanders like RoRo. While everyone is trying to piece together why Jonathan and Ariel were targeted, there's a whole other layer of pain for victims like RoRo who, by all appearances, got caught up in a scenario thrust upon them. My thoughts are with his family, and I hope the investigation brings answers and some semblance of peace to everyone affected. If anyone has more info on how his family is doing, or if there have been any community efforts to commemorate him, please share.
I’ve been following the case of Jonathan Medrano and Ariel Martinez, and it’s haunting to think that they haven’t caught anyone yet. There's so much silence from the investigators. I keep wondering about the unnamed woman who was with Roy Alderete when the car hit them. Seeing something like that must be so traumatic. Has anyone heard if she’s come forward with any details or insights? Even something small she remembered could be crucial, right? And poor Roy just sitting there one moment, gone the next. I can't imagine the pain his family is going through, especially with the holidays approaching. They all deserve answers, and I just hope someone out there knows something that could help bring justice for them. It’s unsettling knowing that whoever did this is still out there. If anyone’s heard anything new, please share.
Has anyone else been thinking about the lack of updates in the Medrano-Martinez case? It just doesn't sit right with me. First, you've got this brutal shooting, and then the tragic loss of RoRo Alderete, who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I can't imagine the pain their families are going through, especially since Ariel's birthday was just around the corner.
What's really unsettling is how it's been months without a single suspect or even a description of that vehicle. I understand these things can take time, but it's as if they vanished without a trace. Are there any other similar incidents in the area that could be connected? It seems strange for such a violent crime to happen out of the blue.
I really hope someone comes forward with info that can help finally bring some answers and justice to everyone affected by this horrible night. If you have any thoughts or theories, I'd love to hear them!
