I’ve been following the Irving Chick-fil-A case and wanted to address something that’s been on my mind—the local community’s response to the tragedy. It's been remarkable to see how neighbors and strangers alike have rallied around the families of Brayan Godoy and Patricia Portillo. During such an unimaginably painful time, the community’s outpouring of love and support can be a beacon of hope. I've read about how Brayan’s co-workers described him as hardworking and always full of laughter, which must make his absence so much harder. Let's not forget Patricia, who had worked at the restaurant for years and was known for being incredibly welcoming and kind to everyone she met. She made every customer feel special, and that speaks volumes about her character. Remember, the community fundraisers and memorials offer tangible ways for us to help the families. If you’re local or even following from afar, considering sending a message or a small donation. Every little bit helps, and right now, these families need to feel our collective support more than ever. Please share any other ways we can contribute, if you come across them.

Has anyone else been following the community response to the Chick-fil-A shooting in Irving? It's truly moving to see how everyone has rallied around the families of Brayan and Patricia. I attended the memorial service at Redeemer Church and was struck by the overwhelming sense of love and support. People shared such heartfelt stories about Brayan's dedication to his family and how Patricia always brought smiles to her coworkers' faces. It's another reminder of how important it is to come together during these dark times. Does anyone know if there are any ongoing efforts to support Elisabeth de Godoy and her kids? I'm hoping there's something more we can all do to help.

Has anyone else been following the updates on the tragic shooting at the Irving Chick-fil-A? I'm struck by the stories of the victims, especially Brayan Godoy. It's so unimaginable to think about his family back in Guatemala right now. Brayan came here for the dream so many pursue—to work hard and provide for his family. His wife, Elisabeth, and their children must be going through indescribable pain. How can someone do this and leave behind such a void for them? From what I gathered, Brayan was known to be a really hardworking guy, juggling multiple jobs just to ensure his family could have a better life. It's so important that we keep the conversation going about the impact of violence on families and communities. Sending strength and love to both the Godoy and Portillo families. They've lost someone irreplaceable. I hope the community in Irving continues to rally around them during this incredibly tough time. If anyone has more updates, especially regarding any support efforts, please share.
