I only met Karson a few times, in those few meetings I was able to see that he was a kind and caring person. I have a connection to the woman who shot and killed him, he was helping her fix her home and they became friends. In the hours to days following the shooting she told me 3 different and conflicting accounts of that night. Myself and others who she also confessed to contacted the investigators and gave statements telling them everything she had told us. She hasn't been indicted yet so I suppose everything I say is "alleged". It is my personal opinion that his death was completely avoidable and unnecessary. In my opinion she showed no remorse, she had no visible defensive marks or wounds and is currently going about her life as if nothing happened. This is a tragedy to be certain. I hope the truth comes out one day and Karson gets the justice he deserves. I pray there are consequences for the shooter, I fear if there isn't she will go on to hurt more people, according to many people close to her "allegedly" this incident is just one of many times she has violently attacked someone during a disagreement and it is unfortunate she has never been held accountable for her actions and now an innocent life has been taken. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share her name considering it hasn't been made pubic by the investigators or media but I am willing share my full story as well as her identity if anyone is interested. Again, to avoid harming the investigation as well as legal retaliation from the shooter everything I have to share is my own personal experience and opinions and any assumed facts shared are alleged.

I saw somewhere they are planning to to present to a grand jury in the near future to see if charges will be filed.  I can only imagine how difficult it must be to carry the weight of knowing both Karson and the woman involved, especially under such painful and complicated circumstances. It speaks volumes about your integrity and care for justice that you took the initiative to speak with investigators and share what you knew.

Karson’s loss is clearly felt deeply by many, even by those who only met him briefly—and your words help paint a fuller picture of who he was: kind, caring, and generous with his time and talents. This tragedy has left so many unanswered questions, and I truly hope the truth is fully uncovered and that justice, however it comes, is served with clarity and compassion.

You’ve shown great courage in coming forward, even while navigating the risks and emotional burden. Please take care of yourself in this process, and know that your voice matters. Karson—and the truth—deserve to be honored with sincerity, and you are doing your part to help make that happen.

I've been following the investigation into Karson Matthew Meunier's death with a heavy heart. From everything I've read, it's so clear how much Karson was loved—not just by friends and family, but by the entire community in and around Calvert. It's such a tragedy to lose someone who brought so much life into the world, especially through his passion for restoring historical buildings. His work seemed like more than just a job; it was a way to connect with the past and breathe new life into places that held so many stories.
I can't help but wonder how such a vibrant soul could end up in such a dire situation. The fact that the woman who shot him hasn't been arrested yet definitely raises questions. I understand that investigations take time, and it's crucial that every detail is examined meticulously. Still, waiting for answers can be incredibly frustrating and painful for those who knew and loved him.
For now, I'm holding onto hope that the truth will come to light, and justice will be served in whatever form that may take. My thoughts are with Karson's family and friends during this difficult time. If anyone has more information or updates, please share. This case deserves the community's attention and support.
It’s so hard to comprehend how something like this could happen to Karson. I didn’t know him personally, but hearing stories from those who did makes this tragic loss feel so personal. His passion for restoring old homes and his deep appreciation for the history of the area is how we should remember him. I keep thinking about those old homes around Calvert that he worked on; they stand as a testament to his talent and dedication. It's such a loss to the community and to anyone who loves history as much as he did. I hope the investigation brings clarity and justice, whatever that may look like, but most importantly, I hope his family and friends find some measure of peace during this incredibly difficult time.
I came across Karson's story today, and it's just so upsetting to hear about another senseless act of violence. I read that Karson was really invested in the community and had a talent for bringing old houses back to life. It makes me wonder if his work brought him into contact with different people—maybe even the woman involved in the shooting?
I'm so curious about what actually happened that night. Was there a misunderstanding or some sort of argument? It's troubling that we don’t have more info about why this escalated to gunfire. With no charges yet, I imagine the evidence isn't straightforward. My thoughts are with Karson's family and friends during this uncertain and painful time. I hope the investigation provides clarity and justice.
Has anyone local to Calvert heard any chatter about this? I feel like small communities often hold pieces to the puzzle that don’t always make it into official reports.
