I was reading about the tragic shooting on Adams Avenue where Jesse Miles and Anthony McKoy lost their lives. My thoughts are with their families during this incredibly difficult time. Something that struck me was the bravery of the officers who were first on the scene. They performed life-saving measures on Jesse Miles until help could arrive. It's moments like these that remind me of the courage it takes to be in such a line of work, facing danger and trying to save lives. While the investigation is ongoing, I can't help but worry about the impact on the community. It must be incredibly unsettling knowing the person or persons responsible are still out there. The fact that the Killeen Police Department is so actively pursuing leads and urging the community to come forward is encouraging. Hopefully, someone will come forward with crucial information soon. For those in the area, please stay safe and report anything you might know, no matter how small it may seem. It could be the missing piece detectives need. Let's hope justice is served swiftly, and the families find some comfort in the support of the community coming together to help solve this case.
