Has anyone else come across the theory that Frances may have been suffering from an acute stress reaction due to the tragic accident with her son? Someone mentioned this in passing, and it got me thinking. A sudden loss like that, especially witnessing it firsthand, could have put her into a state where she didn't fully comprehend her actions.
Could it be possible she wandered off disoriented to a less populated area, or even taken shelter somewhere, and succumbed to the elements? It's crazy how the human mind processes trauma, and I feel like this aspect hasn't been explored enough in discussions about her case.
Not saying this is the definitive answer, but does anyone know if any experts on trauma were involved in the early investigation? It's so frustrating that her disappearance still haunts the community after all these years.
Has anyone looked into the rumors about Frances Shurtleff Sessions possibly heading to the old railway lines the day she vanished? I remember reading in a few older newspaper clippings that there were some unconfirmed sightings around there, but I've never seen any follow-up. Considering the emotional turmoil she was in after the tragic accident, it makes me wonder if she might have been drawn to a place where she could reflect or be alone. I find it curious that her trail went cold so quickly, despite multiple leads popping up back then. If anyone has more information or theories on this angle, I'd love to discuss it further.
