I’ve been following the discussions about Keianna Hines's tragic case, and one aspect that really hits me is the role of community support during such an unbelievably devastating time. Seeing how quickly people came together to contribute to the GoFundMe for her funeral expenses speaks volumes about the love and respect that Keianna's community had for her. It's nice to see people rally around her family when they need it most, but it also got me thinking about how important it is for communities to support each other proactively before things reach such a breaking point. So many lives could be saved if we all created safe spaces for people to discuss their fears, conflicts, and struggles. Maybe it’s time to have more community-led discussions or support groups focused on conflict resolution or dealing with relationship issues—just brainstorming here. It's hard to imagine the pain the Hines family is enduring, and I sincerely hope justice is served. Let’s keep her family in our thoughts and continue to push for meaningful change in our neighborhoods.
