I recently came across the case of Kelon J'Mar King's tragic death, and I can't stop thinking about how the community is dealing with this. It's unsettling to hear that this happened during what should have been a joyous occasion—a birthday party. I can't even begin to imagine the ripple effect it has had on those who were there, especially the young people who witnessed it. It's frustrating to see another instance of gun violence, and I truly hope the community comes together to find solutions to prevent this from happening again. It’s a wake-up call for Beaumont to address the rising crime in the area. My heart goes out to Kelon's family and friends, who are left to navigate through this devastating loss. Has anyone from the area noticed any recent changes or efforts to address community safety? I'm curious if there's been an increased law enforcement presence since the incident or if the community is taking any action independently.
