I can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy is having on the whole community. It's just unimaginable for a family to lose someone so young, someone who clearly had his whole life ahead of him. I read that J.J.'s aunt, Jania, mentioned how he was someone who really loved his family and friends, and it got me thinking about all the friends who were probably with him that night. They must be going through a tough time too, grappling with such a sudden loss.
It's also so concerning to know that the person who may have been responsible for the shooting could still be out there. I really hope the community can come together to support the family and law enforcement in any way possible. Maybe someone saw something at that party or heard something afterwards that could provide a lead.
We all need to be vigilant and speak up. Sheriff Burby is right—allowing these things to happen in our towns without holding perpetrators accountable jeopardizes everyone. I just really hope people come forward with any information. It’s essential not just for justice for J.J. but for the safety of everyone in Newton County. Sending strength to Jania and the whole Rambo family.
