Hey everyone, I've been diving through the details of the Virgil Bonham Jr. and Arnold Tittel case, and something about it just feels off to me. What really gets me is the fact that their boat was found adrift but intact. I've read a lot of boating accident reports, and typically if something capsizes or there's any kind of struggle, you'd expect some damage or evidence of distress on the boat, right? Plus, both Bonham and Tittel being strong swimmers should have worked in their favor, especially since the weather conditions were decent that day. It's like they just vanished into thin air. I'm wondering if something happened on the boat itself causing them both to fall overboard. Does anyone know if there was any follow-up on potential foul play or if any new angles have been explored over the years? It seems like a big piece of the puzzle is still missing here. Curious to hear your thoughts.

Has anyone else come across the detail about the cigarettes and lighters missing from the car? It's a bit strange to me. Both men were heavy smokers, and it seems they took their cigarettes with them when they set out on the boat. I can't help but wonder if they had stopped onshore somewhere for a smoke break. Was there any potential spot they could have docked temporarily? Or could it hint they planned on stopping somewhere else altogether? It seems unusual for them not to have needed a smoke over that time unless something distracted them. Just throwing it out there in case someone has more insight into possible land they could have accessed or other implications of this detail.

I've always found the disappearance of Virgil Bonham Jr. and Arnold Tittel so intriguing. What's odd to me is the fact that their boat was found intact and adrift in the middle of Folsom Lake with no signs of struggle or distress. With both men being strong swimmers and the weather conditions reportedly calm, it seems strange that neither of them made it back to shore if they had fallen overboard. I wonder if there's a possibility they had a mishap or confrontation that forced them off the boat into the water. It bugs me that their cigarettes and lighters were the only things missing from the car—why take those when you're just going out on the water? I think it’s worth considering if something or someone else was involved here. Thoughts?
