Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Omar Rincon and Justin Schenk and I can't help but think about the community's state of mind right now. It's incredibly troubling to see a pattern of violence so close to an elementary school. I grew up in a neighborhood that struggled with similar issues, and I know how hard it can be for residents to feel safe or even let their children play outside. These types of tragedies leave a lingering impact not only on the families involved but also on the whole community. Children should be able to go to school without passing by crime scenes or hearing about shootings. My heart goes out to the families of Omar and Justin, who are undoubtedly going through unimaginable pain, and I genuinely hope that the community finds a way to heal from these horrifying events. The lack of information from law enforcement can be frustrating, but I hope that they’re putting all their efforts into finding the responsible parties. Stay strong, Stockton.
