I'm really struggling to wrap my head around the whole situation involving YanCarlos Santiago and this Richard Strickland guy. The idea of an 83-year-old man, of all people, getting into something like this is just surreal. Strickland's background as a Korean War vet probably means he's seen some incredibly tough situations, which makes me wonder what was going through his mind in that moment. Did his past experiences somehow influence his decision to intervene and ultimately use a firearm? I mean, it's not every day you hear about someone that age being involved in a shooting. It’s just tragic all around, but I wonder if there's more about his mindset leading up to this that we're not seeing. My heart goes out to Santiago’s family—no one should have to go through such a loss because of something like this. This case has definitely left me with more questions than answers.
