I’ve been following the Ashley Waters case and just can't shake off the thought about how her last moments were spent trying to seek refuge and desperate for help outside that Planet Fitness. The fact that she attempted to find safety and unfortunately it wasn’t enough breaks my spirit. It’s haunting to think of her courage and determination to save herself, and it makes it even more devastating that her efforts didn’t get her the help she needed in time. It just brings to light how cruel and senseless this act was, and while I'm glad the suspects involved are no longer posing a threat, my heart goes out to Ashley's loved ones who have to cope with such a tragic loss. It’s especially tough knowing she had so much life ahead of her and was recently planning a future with her boyfriend. Sending love and strength to her family and everyone gathered at the vigil, keeping her spirit alive. ?
