Did anyone else hear about the mysterious phone call Ruth's kids received? I can't help but wonder who made that call to inform them about her disappearance. Was it someone close to Ruth, or could it have even been her boyfriend? If it was him, why would he draw attention to her being missing if he was involved? It's these little details that keep me scratching my head. It's been so many years, and the fact that the FBI didn't unearth any major clues makes this case even more perplexing. It just seems odd that someone would know enough to call the kids but not have more to offer in terms of what happened to Ruth. Was there a witness who hasn’t come forward? Or could this have been a move to unsettle an investigation purposefully?

Has anyone looked into the possibility of Ruth having left on her own, at least initially? I know it's been a long time, but sometimes cases where there's a dispute involved don't always start with an abduction. Maybe she wanted to get away from her then-boyfriend after an argument, but then something happened afterward. It's just so puzzling that no major leads have surfaced despite the FBI's involvement. Also, her scar from a knife wound seems like it would be a distinctive feature to recognize her by, if anyone had seen her around that time. It’s like she just vanished into thin air. My heart goes out to her family—it's hard to imagine waiting this long without any resolution. What do you guys think? Could there still be someone out there with answers who hasn't come forward?
