I've been thinking a lot about the role that parenting and guidance play in situations like what happened to Amadeus. It’s gut-wrenching to think about how easily things could've been prevented with just a bit more awareness and caution from everyone involved. It's not to place blame but to consider how crucial it is for adults to educate kids about the serious responsibilities that come with handling firearms. It's clear from this tragic event that somewhere along the line, these young teens weren’t given the proper guidance or supervision. I can't imagine the grief and regret the families must feel, not just for losing Amadeus but also for seeing a young boy sent to juvenile hall. Hopefully, this can spark a discussion in our community about mentorship and responsible gun ownership to ensure no other family has to suffer this way. My heart goes out to Amadeus's family and everyone impacted by this tragedy.
