Has anyone looked into the events Betty Shigeno was involved in around the time of her disappearance? She was known to be very active in her community, attending and organizing local events in Honolulu. It's possible that someone she crossed paths with during one of these events might have information, even if they don't realize it. Maybe revisiting some of these community activities or speaking with attendees could shed new light on what happened. Just thinking out loud here, but it seems like a potential avenue worth exploring, given how involved she was. Anyone else have thoughts on this angle?

I recently came across Betty Shigeno's missing persons case from 1985 in Honolulu, and something really piqued my interest. Apparently, she was quite involved in organizing local community events, including the annual spring festival that the neighborhood looked forward to every year. It's been noted that her disappearance was right around the time of the festival preparations. Does anyone know if there were any unusual occurrences reported at the festival that year? It seems odd that such a well-connected person would vanish without a trace, especially considering how plugged in she was with the local happenings. Could there be a connection between her disappearance and the event? I couldn’t find much detail in the news archives about any disturbances or strange activities linked to the festival. Just wondering if anyone else might have insights or further information on this angle.
