Has anyone looked into how Nicholas Simbolon's work might have connected him to the suspect? It sounds like he was a pretty key player in his role at the Los Angeles County Chief Executive Office, and he must have interacted with a lot of different people given his position. I'm just wondering if there's any chance that his job—or maybe something related to the software developments he was involved in—could have put him in harm's way, even if indirectly. It’s so incredibly sad for his family, especially knowing that he was doing such important work for the community. My heart goes out to them during this awful time.
