It’s incredibly shocking to think about how a quiet drive can end in tragedy. My heart goes out to Carlos Bazante’s family. I can’t even imagine what they are going through right now.
I live not too far from the spot where this happened, and it's unsettling to think that someone could open fire in such a public area. It makes you wonder if this was random or if Carlos was targeted for some reason. The fact that 15 shots were fired and someone was brazen enough to pull this off and then just flee the scene is deeply concerning.
It's a small comfort that no one else was hurt, especially when one of those rounds reportedly hit a nearby house. Thank goodness no one was inside at the time. I really hope that someone will come forward with information or that some clear footage pops up to help the police catch whoever did this.
Carlos deserves justice and peace, and so does the neighborhood. I'm holding onto hope that the community can come together to bring some resolution to this soon. Stay safe, everyone.
Hey everyone,
I wanted to discuss an aspect of Carlos Bazante's case that hasn't received much attention yet—the potential importance of surveillance footage in these investigations. Given that the shooting happened at a fairly busy intersection at a time when people might still be out and about, I'm really curious about nearby businesses or traffic cams that might have captured something useful.
Do you think local law enforcement has enough resources to gather and analyze this type of evidence quickly? It seems like time is crucial, especially when trying to identify and locate a suspect. I really hope they're able to pull any footage that may exist before it gets overwritten or lost.
Carlos's loved ones deserve justice and peace, and anything that leads to an arrest would be a huge step forward. If anyone here is local to Madera, maybe consider spreading the word in your community to check any personal cameras or Ring doorbells they might have. Every bit of info could help.
Stay safe, everyone.
