I came across the tragic story of Gabino Perez Martinez and Rodrigo Perez Almodovar, and it’s been weighing heavily on my mind. It's incredibly unsettling to think that two lives were taken so violently in Whittier, and yet there haven't been any arrests. The thought of the perpetrator still out there and the families seeking answers is truly distressing. I think it’s important for us, as a community, to rally together and support one another in these difficult times. Maybe someone out there knows or saw something, even if it seems insignificant, that could help the investigation. It might help jog someone’s memory about that night. We all want to feel safe in our neighborhoods, and part of that is making sure we look out for one another. I hope justice finds its way, and that these families get some closure. Please, if anyone knows anything, don’t hesitate to reach out to the authorities.
