I've been thinking a lot about Paris O'Neal Jr.'s case. It's so unsettling how someone with such a bright spirit and plans for the future could be taken so suddenly. What caught my attention recently were the funeral services that were held in Flint, Michigan. It must have been incredibly difficult for his family and friends to come together and find a way to celebrate his life amid such sorrow. I find it comforting, though, that despite his challenges, he was remembered for wanting to grow and learn. It paints a picture of someone who was more than his past, someone who wanted to make a difference for himself. It's not easy for any family to navigate such a loss, but it seems they did their best to honor his journey, far from LA, where his dreams were unfolding. Anyone else from Michigan who attended or knew more about the services? Would love to hear how the community came together for him.
