Has anyone else seen the mural they put up for the Rios brothers near their neighborhood? I passed by yesterday, and it really moved me. It's beautiful to see the community come together in remembrance, especially since this senseless crime leaves so many unanswered questions. Sergio and Ricardo were clearly loved deeply by those around them, and it’s heartbreaking that their lives were taken so abruptly. My thoughts are with Sergio’s partner and their children. I can't even begin to imagine the pain they’re going through. It must be so painful for the family to cope with the loss of both men.
It makes me wonder about the impact on the community and how we can prevent this from happening again. The discussion around gun violence and mental health is so important, and I really hope their story pushes us to find solutions. Has anyone heard if there’s been any update on possible motives? Sending love to their family and anyone else affected by this tragedy. Stay safe out there, everyone.
I’ve been thinking a lot about Mabel Lopez and those sweet little twins Sergio left behind. It’s just so sad to imagine that family having to navigate life without him. I live not too far from where this tragedy happened, and it’s chilling to think it could happen to anyone. I never met Sergio, but from what I’ve read, he was such a kind soul and clearly adored by his family, friends, and even the regulars at Osteria La Buca. It’s comforting to see how the community is coming together to support Mabel and the kids, but I can’t even imagine the pain they must be in right now. I hope the GoFundMe helps relieve some of their burden. None of them deserve this loss. Let's keep doing our part to bring attention to gun violence and mental health problems.
