I’ve been following Antwon Green’s case, and like many of you, I’m struggling to comprehend how such a senseless act happened right by his grandmother’s home. It’s evident that Antwon was a beloved member of his family, known for being a caring son. It breaks my heart to think about his parents, Michael and Genneva, who tried so hard to protect him. Their offer of a $2,000 reward is a testament to their desperation to find some justice for their son. I can’t imagine the pain they must feel, knowing the person responsible is still out there. It’s frustrating to see yet another case remain unsolved because it underscores the difficulty in securing leads in these kinds of neighborhoods. I hope the community continues to support his family and that someone eventually comes forward with information. Antwon deserves justice, and his family needs closure.

I was reading about Antwon Green’s case and it's so painful to see how this has affected his family and the community. What really sticks with me is how Antwon was trying to steer clear of trouble and was just with his family for the holiday weekend when this all happened. It seems he did everything right, stayed close to family, and yet, the violence reached him in what should have been a safe environment. I feel for his parents, Michael and Genneva, who did their best to keep him safe. They must be going through unimaginable pain. It's the kind of tragedy that makes you question what more can be done to protect children in these neighborhoods. Has there been any progress on this case since the reward was offered? It's frustrating that this remains unsolved, and I hope someone out there has the courage to come forward with information. Keeping Antwon and his family in my thoughts.

The more I read about Antwon Green’s story, the more I just can't shake the feeling of anguish for his family, especially his grandmother. Can you imagine the heartbreak of having your grandchild shot right outside your front door, in what should have been a safe place for family gatherings? I read that his funeral was held at Greater St. John Bible Church and there was such a significant community presence. It shows how loved Antwon was and how deep the impact of his loss is. But what deeply concerns me is the frustration uttered by Reverend Ira Acree during the service about the ongoing violence. How do we break this cycle? The $2,000 reward seems like such a small price for the closure his family deserves. It’s crushing to think this case still remains unsolved. Why is it so difficult to bring justice for the families in these neighborhoods? My thoughts are with Michael and Genneva as they continue to fight against this pervasive struggle.
