Does anyone else feel that Kenny's dreams speak to how much potential was lost? Reading about how he wanted to be an auto mechanic or a pilot just crushes me. It's like he was looking towards a future where he could do anything. Knowing he was a student at Berkeley Technology Academy and that the school community is mourning him so profoundly makes it all the more real and more personal for everyone who knew him. I can't imagine what his family is experiencing right now. The dedication of the school's wellness center in Kenny's memory is a touching gesture, but it's so sad that it had to happen under these circumstances. It seems like Kenny had such a positive impact on his friends and classmates; the stories being shared by the students and teachers speak volumes about the kind of person he was. It's frustrating that there's no closure yet with no arrests made. I really hope anyone with information will come forward so Kenny's family can at least have some justice. Sending my thoughts and support to them and the whole community as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
