I just can't stop thinking about how brave the bus driver was during the whole ordeal. I mean, imagine being in a situation like that, with everyone looking to you for some sort of safety or hope. The way he managed to stay calm, activate the silent alarm, and then hold it together for over an hour during the slow-speed pursuit is nothing short of heroic. It's terrifying to think what could have happened if he hadn't been that composed. Anthony Rivera didn't deserve to lose his life in such a senseless way. It really hits home how fragile life can be, especially when you're just going about your daily routine. My heart goes out to his family and friends, along with anyone else who was affected by this horrible event. I hope the swift action of the LAPD and the subsequent arrest of Campbell brings some measure of justice to Anthony's loved ones. Also, I truly hope these new security measures proposed by Metro are actioned quickly. It's crucial for everyone to feel safe when using public transport. No one should fear for their life on a simple bus ride home.
