I can't stop thinking about the bravery it must have taken for Jing Li in those horrifying moments. It’s chilling to imagine what she went through when she was confronted by Gong. Having to endure such terror and still trying to protect herself and her husband—it's something that's hard to wrap my mind around. Truly, the strength she showed speaks volumes about her character. My heart goes out to their family and friends. I hope they find some comfort in knowing that Gong was apprehended before he could flee the country. Kudos to the family member who acted quickly and provided critical info to the police. Keeping them all in my thoughts as they face the long road ahead for justice.
Does anyone else feel deeply unsettled by the way surveillance footage played a role in this case? It's chilling to think about how technology, which we often take for granted every day, effectively became a crucial piece of the puzzle here. Imagine being Jing Li and Kuanlun Wang's family, watching footage of some stranger on the patio, knowing that something horrible has happened but not being able to step in to help because these events have already occurred.
