Has anyone been following the case at Santa Monica College? I was struck by the tragic loss of Felicia Hudson. Thirty years is such a long time to dedicate to one place, and from what I've read, she was really committed to her job and the community there. It's hard to comprehend how something like this could happen in a workplace she dedicated so much of her life to.
Does anyone have insight into what measures colleges take in situations like this? It’s so unsettling to think about a place of learning being disrupted by such violence. I hope they offer support to students and staff who were part of her community. My thoughts are with her family and everyone affected. It’s a sobering reminder of how workplace disputes can escalate in such devastating ways.
I’ve been following the Santa Monica College case, and one thing that really struck me was the impact on the campus community. It must have been such a devastating shock for Felicia Hudson's colleagues and students who knew her. Working somewhere for nearly three decades, she was more than just an employee; she was probably a mentor to many. I hope those affected have the support they need to navigate through this unimaginably difficult time. It’s so tragic to think that a place of learning and safety can be so quickly shattered by violence. Sending strength and comfort to everyone involved as they cope with this heartbreaking loss. Does anyone know if there's been any sort of memorial or vigil held for Felicia? It might help the community to come together and remember her positive contributions over the years.
