Has anyone else been following the case of Angela Young from Chattanooga? I’ve been thinking a lot about that surveillance footage from Publix with the red car. Her family didn't recognize it, and it turns out Fritts had stolen it from Ohio. It makes me wonder if Angela knew about the car's origins or if she was completely unaware. It must be so hard for her family not only to deal with their loss but also to try and piece together the events leading up to such a senseless act. That kind of betrayal from someone she was in a new relationship with is unimaginable. Sending my thoughts to Angela's family, hoping they find some form of comfort or closure as the legal process unfolds.
I’ve been thinking a lot about Angela Young's case, and something that really strikes me is the community's outpouring of love during her memorial service at Stevarinos. It must have been incredibly meaningful for her family to see her honored in a place she devoted so much of her energy to. As someone who’s worked in restaurants before, I can only imagine how close-knit her work family must have been and how devastating this is for them, too. Restaurants are like a second home, and Angela seemed to play such a key role there. My heart goes out to her colleagues, who not only lost a manager but a dear friend. I hope they find the strength to keep her spirit alive in their daily work and gatherings.
