Has anyone else looked into the reports about the weather that day Donald went missing? I find it odd that his friends said it was a clear day, yet some archive weather data from Laguna Beach suggests the water conditions might have been rougher than they claimed. Could this discrepancy mean something? Perhaps someone who was in the area around the time might remember crucial details that could help. Also, has anyone heard if there were other boats nearby who might have seen or heard something unusual? The ocean is vast, but with it being a holiday and all, it seems like there might have been quite a few folks out on the water. Just thinking out loud here, but maybe it’s worth digging into local boater logs from that day?

I've always found the circumstances around Donald Huntress's disappearance intriguing and baffling, particularly in terms of the search efforts that followed. It seems so strange to me that someone could just vanish without a trace so close to shore, especially given the swift response of his friends and the detailed grid search by the Orange County Sheriff's Department divers. Usually, you would at least expect some piece of equipment or personal belonging to turn up. Was there any mention of the condition of the currents or underwater visibility that day? It seems like more information on the diving conditions could provide some crucial context. Does anyone else have thoughts on how these environmental factors might have contributed to his disappearance?
