Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Daniel Cano-Preciado in Kingsport? Hearing about how this young father was murdered in front of his two-year-old daughter is just incredibly difficult to process. My heart goes out to his family, especially his little girl, who now has to grow up without her dad because of such a senseless act. I was reading about the hearing, and it’s appalling to think that the defense is trying to portray this incident as a "passion-driven" crime to reduce the bail for Michael Garcia. Regardless of his background or ties to the community, nothing can justify what happened. I hope justice prevails and that Daniel's family finds some measure of peace as this process unfolds. Anyone know more about how the local community is supporting his family?

Has anyone else been reading the testimonials from the preliminary hearing on Daniel Cano-Preciado's case? My heart goes out to his little girl who had to witness such a terrible act. I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma this will cause her. It’s troubling to hear that Michael Garcia, the suspect, tried to argue this was a "crime of passion." Even if emotions were high, bringing a firearm into such a situation, especially around a child, is inexcusable. It’s critical for the justice system to consider the lasting impact on Cano-Preciado's daughter. I hope there’s support in place for her as this legal process unfolds. What do you all think about the judge’s decision to keep the bond at $1 million? Was it the right call given the circumstances?
