I was reading about Antonio "Moosie" Moore's tragic passing, and something that struck me was how the local community has been coming together to honor his memory. It's truly touching to see people lighting candles and sharing memories in his name. It seems like he had such a positive impact on those around him, and the community has been incredible in showing love and support to his family, especially his kids.
This violence has got to stop. These are real people with families and loved ones who need them. Moosie had so much more life to live, and it's devastating to think about how this pattern of violence keeps repeating itself in Chicago. It's high time for change. My thoughts are with his family during such a painful time. ? #JusticeForMoosie #StopGunViolence
Has anyone been following the Antonio D. Moore case from 2017? It’s truly devastating to hear what happened to him, especially since it took place so close to his home. One thing that stood out to me was the search of the nearby park following the incident. It just shows how tense things are in the Austin neighborhood and how much communities like these are bearing such a heavy burden. I can’t imagine the fear and frustration that residents must feel on a daily basis, constantly facing the threat of violence. It breaks my heart for Antonio’s children who have lost their father in such a senseless manner. It’s important that we continue to remember Antonio, keep his story alive, and push for meaningful changes in these communities. Has anyone participated in any local efforts to address the gun violence in the West Side? Would love to hear more about any actions being taken, big or small.
