I’ve been following the heartbreaking situation around Big Mota's death, and I can’t help but think about how this is a huge loss not just for his friends and family but for the entire Memphis music scene. His influence went beyond just his music; he represented a voice and a style that was so unique to our community. It's hard to imagine the local rap scene without his presence. What’s troubling to me is the lack of updates from the authorities. I know it's probably early days, but it’s unsettling not having any leads or suspects. It must be agonizing for those close to him, waiting for answers that aren’t coming fast enough. Has anyone heard if there's any effort to push for more community involvement to find information? It seems like with everyone loving and missing him so much, there’d be a rallying effort to get justice for him and the others affected. It would be nice to know there's some concrete movement toward finding who did this. Sending all my love to those grieving right now. Let’s keep his spirit alive by supporting local artists who carry on the legacy of what he stood for.
