Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about how DaQuan's case highlights the broader issue of gun violence in Memphis and how it’s affecting our youth. What’s particularly troubling is that, from what I've read, DaQuan wasn't the only victim in recent times. There’s clearly something more systemic at play here. It’s heartbreaking how many families in our community are enduring this kind of pain. Has anyone heard any updates from community meetings or from those in close contact with the local police department? They have that "Most Wanted" list going, which seems like a crucial tool. I wonder if there are enough resources being put towards increasing community outreach, especially in areas most affected. It feels like a lot of responsibility is put on the community to come forward, but the fear and mistrust can be tough to overcome. My thoughts are with DaQuan’s family and friends. I hope they receive the justice they deserve and that others don’t have to experience the agony they’re going through. How can we be better advocates for change?
