Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on the day Patrick Dale Hoogen disappeared? I’ve seen it mentioned in other missing persons cases that bad weather can obscure evidence or make it harder for searchers to spot someone. Bellevue gets pretty rainy in the fall—could rain have played a role in why there were so few clues about his whereabouts? I'm just curious if local conditions at the time might have complicated early search efforts. It'd be interesting to know if there was rain or fog that day, possibly impacting visibility. Maybe someone here remembers what the weather was like on October 2, 2005?

I've been following Patrick Hoogen's case and came across something intriguing that I think might be worth discussing. There's been talk in the Somerset neighborhood that Patrick was an avid hiker and often spent his weekends exploring trails in the nearby Cascade Mountains. I've always wondered if he had mentioned any specific plans or favorite trails around the time he disappeared. It wasn't really publicized much in the initial reports, but maybe it's something that local investigators considered at length. Does anyone else recall anything about his hiking habits that might have surfaced later? Sometimes, these tiny details can help jog other people's memories, and who knows, it might lead to a fresh lead. Thoughts?

I was doing some digging on Patrick Dale Hoogen's case, and I came across something interesting that hasn't been talked about much. Bellevue has had a growing wild park area near the Somerset area where he was last seen. It makes me wonder, could he have headed in that direction during his walk? I know they've done extensive searches, but nature trails can be dense and tricky. Depending on the weather, they change throughout the seasons, and sometimes things get overlooked. I also read that there were a few hikers back around 2005 who reported getting lost or having some kind of mishap, which got me thinking about the terrain there. Does anyone know if that park area was searched thoroughly at the time? Or has anyone in the community noticed changes or disturbances in the area since then? Sometimes these small, overlooked details can make all the difference.
