I’ve been following David Adrian Downes’ case for a while now, and something that always sticks out to me is the reported sighting of him in Amarillo, Texas in early January 2006. It’s weird how these sightings pop up but don’t always lead anywhere substantial. Did anyone ever confirm whether he was actually staying at that hotel? I find it odd that there’s such a gap between the last confirmed sighting in Anaheim and this unverified one in Amarillo. Also, it seems like that time frame aligns with the holiday season—maybe he was trying to connect with someone or getting ready for a fresh start? Anyone else think it could be worth re-checking old guest lists or local events from that time? Just seems like there might be something that was missed initially. Thoughts?
