Hey everyone, I can’t stop thinking about the bravery and dedication Deputy Greg McCowan showed throughout his career and especially on that tragic night. It’s clear he was someone who truly cared about his community. I recently read about the life-saving award he received and it just breaks my heart to think we've lost such a committed officer. Those who knew him say he always went above and beyond, and it’s evident how much he will be missed by his family and friends. I can't imagine what they're going through right now. Also, seeing how the community has come together during the manhunt and subsequent arrest of Kenneth DeHart, it’s a testament to how folks in Maryville and the surrounding areas stand together in tough times. I hope justice is swiftly served and that Deputy McCowan’s family finds some comfort in the outpouring of support. Thinking of his fiancée Leah, his kids, and his granddaughter during these incredibly difficult times. Stay safe out there.
