Has anyone else looked into the street lighting situation in the area where Cynthia Trevillion was killed? I've been thinking about how important it is for neighborhoods to have proper lighting, especially considering the kind of violence that's been plaguing Chicago. It might not seem like a big deal, but brighter, well-lit areas can sometimes deter criminal activity and make us all feel a bit safer walking around. I can't help but wonder if better street lighting could have made a difference in this tragic event. I've read so many touching tributes about how Cynthia was a dedicated teacher whose life was unfairly cut short. Her loss truly highlights the need for communities to push for small changes that could help prevent future tragedies. Has anyone who lives or works in Rogers Park noticed any changes in the lighting or general safety measures since the incident? It's heartbreaking that we're talking about this at all, but anything that could prevent another senseless event like this is worth discussing.
