I've been thinking a lot about Jalon "Bo" Brooks and the life he led before that tragic day in June. It's so clear from all the tributes and stories we've heard that he was more than just a name in a news headline. His passion for music and cooking, as well as his love for family, truly resonated with so many people. It really hit me how involved he was with his family — not just as a father to his kids, but as an uncle and a beloved son. The way his family and friends continue to hold candlelight vigils and share memories online shows how deeply he touched those around him. I was particularly moved by the way his memorial service was able to bring the community together, even amidst such pain and loss. It’s a testament to his impact. I genuinely hope that the Memphis Police Department can gather the information they need to bring justice for Jalon and Melvin Tabor. Until then, it seems the community will continue to carry their memories and push for change. Sending strength to all those who knew and loved him.
