Just been reading about the Erlin Contreras case, and something's been nagging at me. Since he was in state custody before he went missing, does anyone know if there were any reports or incidents leading up to his disappearance that might suggest why he felt he needed to flee? It’s always puzzled me how someone can just vanish without a trace, especially when they’re under the state's supervision. If the theory about Honduras is true, wouldn’t there be more evidence by now, like communication with family down there or something? Missing for over a decade, and still no breaks—it’s just wild. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Anyone else find it strange that Erlin Contreras just vanished under these circumstances? Being in state custody should have meant a secure and monitored environment, right? Makes you wonder about the breakdown in communication or oversight that allowed him to just slip away, especially considering the possibility he might have gone all the way to Honduras. If that's the case, did someone help him? Or were there signs of him planning to leave that were missed? It’s unsettling how someone can be there one moment and just gone the next. Truly hope there are still active efforts to look into those missing pieces—maybe someone, somewhere knows something that could finally bring closure to this mystery. Thoughts?
